The Classic Center Cultural Foundation to host free public art show January 19-21 at The Georgia Club

 

ATHENS, Ga. – The Classic Center Cultural Foundation will host the Georgia Artist Collective, part of its Cultural Series at The Georgia Club, January 19-21. Eight artists, along with their artwork, will be featured in this free public art show from noon to 5 p.m. each day.

The eight local artists on display will be William Kwamena Poh, Claire Osborne, Megan Fowler, Steve Cole, Jill Biskin, Ansley Perno, Heidi Hensley, and Tina McCullough. Each artist has generously offered to donate ten percent of art sales from the show to The Classic Center Cultural Foundation’s mission to keep the arts alive and thriving in the Athens community.

In conjunction with the art show, The Georgia Club will host a dinner on Friday, January 19 from 6-10 p.m. to also benefit The Classic Center Cultural Foundation. The dinner will feature food from various cultures and countries, as well as special guests speakers, including artists William Kwaemena Poh, Alan Campbell and Jill Biskin and wine distributor Frank Sinkwich. A silent auction will also be open during the dinner and will include auction items from The Georgia Club and The Classic Center, including golf, dinner and an overnight stay at The Georgia Club and tickets to various Classic Center Theatre shows.

Tickets to the dinner are $65 per person or $650 for a table of 10 and can be purchased by phone at 770-725-8100, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, or by email at Reservations@TheGeorgiaClub.com.
