ATHENS, GA - Season tickets for The Classic Center Theatre's 2008-09 Broadway Season go on sale to the general public on May 31.
The Broadway lineup is confirmed, kicking off on November 13 with "The Pajama Game." That production is followed by the highly anticipated "Idols in Concert for the Holidays" starring four top-10 finalists from the first six seasons of American Idol. These dynamic young stars will be singing an array of holiday favorites – and will be joined by a local choir - for two shows Dec. 5 and 6.
The Fats Waller musical Ain’t Misbehavin’, featuring Ruben Studdard and Frenchie Davis, will hit The Classic Center stage on January 15, 2009 and the hilarious comedy Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is scheduled for February 7. The Broadway series comes to a close on March 24 with musical "The Wizard of Oz."
Ticket prices range from $10 to $65 per show, and patrons buying season tickets for a whole series receive a 10 percent discount.
Season tickets for the entire Entertainment Season, which includes a comedy series, children's series, "Americana" series and "Take Me Back" series will go on sale August 23.
