It is the mission of The Classic Center to enhance the quality of life in Athens-Clarke county while serving as the cultural, civic, and social center for the southeast and by generating maximum economic impact.  We take this mission very seriously, and strive each and every day to bring entertainment to our community while bringing visitors to Athens who bring business to our local shops, restaurants and hotels.  

Impact on our Community

At The Classic Center we host over 700 events annually, doubling the industry average. These 400,000 guests make memories at our facility and an impact on our community. Providing 80,000 room nights to our local hotels and providing an estimated $46 Million of economic impact to our Athens-Clarke County community.

We strive to keep The Classic Center in state-of-the-art condition.  As an Authority, we reinvest our profits into this community building to increase customer experience and keep this community building clean, updated, and efficient for all of your event needs.
