ATHENS, GA - The Classic Center Cultural Foundation is pleased to announce that applications are now open for its 2025–2026 Community Grant Program. Each year, the Foundation awards up to $5,000 in grant funding to support initiatives in performing, visual, or culinary arts and workforce development projects that align with the hospitality industry in Athens-Clarke County.

The deadline to apply is Friday, August 22, at 5:00 p.m. A committee will review the applications and select recipients. Recipients will be announced in September 2025.

Applicants must submit a completed application, a detailed project proposal, and a one-year timeline for project completion. Eligible projects may include events, performances, and educational programs. 

Past Projects include:

  • Community theatre projects
  • Funds for public art in a local park
  • Space rent for a traveling exhibit at The Classic Center
  • Securing a musical act to perform for area schools
  • Creating a Hospitality Pathway for local high school students
  • Assisting with after-school arts programs for children and youth
