ADA Seats

When purchasing online, please choose the ADA icon to purchase ADA seats. If you do not see an ADA icon available, please call the Ticket Office at 706.357.4444 for assistance.

 ADA seating can be found at the bottom of sections 100 and 116, and at the top of sections 102 and 119.

Alcohol & ID Requests

All patrons must show a valid ID and be at least 21 years old to purchase and consume alcohol. Akins Ford Arena will not tolerate the underage consumption of alcoholic beverages or facilitate underage consumption. Alcohol sales will conclude no later than half an hour before the event's end and may end earlier if deemed necessary for guest experience and safety. Beverage service will be denied to any guest who appears intoxicated.

ASL Interpretation

Guests who would like to request an ASL interpreter should contact Info@AkinsFordArena.com no later than 45 days prior to the event date.

Assisted Listening Devices

Akins Ford Arena will have assisted listening devices available for use at the Guest Services desk located behind section 120.

Booster Seats

Akins Ford Arena does not have booster seats. You are welcome to bring your own booster seat to accommodate your child.

Cashless Facility

Akins Ford Arena is a cashless facility. All purchases must be made using a debit or credit card.

Children's Tickets

Our policy is that all fans, regardless of age, must have a ticket to enter the Arena. Exceptions may apply based on the nature of the event.

Clear Bag Policy

All Akins Ford Arena ticketed performances and sporting events will require patrons to carry their personal items in a clear bag. Backpacks, camera bags, binocular bags, and computer bags are prohibited. Personal items must be secured in a clear bag no larger than 12”x 6” x 12”. Wallets smaller than 5” x 8” x 2” will be accepted at entry. 

Exceptions will be made for medical and diaper bags, but proper inspection will be required for entry.

Classic Center Bag Policy

Reminder: When purchasing a clear bag, please ensure the bag is not tinted or covered with patterns or several logos (one logo or initial on the clear bag is acceptable). The purpose of a clear bag is to keep items visible and make your point of entry a smooth, quick, and easy process.

Concessions

Concessions will be available to guests with dietary restrictions, such as gluten-free, vegetarian, and plant-based options.

Door Times

Unless otherwise noted, doors will open one hour before the start of an event. Related inquiries should be directed to our friendly Guest Services Team at Info@AkinsFordArena.com.

First Aid

An EMT will be stationed at the Guest Services Desk on the 100-level concourse during events.

Mobile Ticketing

At Akins Ford Arena, we are committed to providing a safe, convenient, and stress-free experience through mobile ticketing. For all ticketed events, we exclusively offer mobile tickets, ensuring fast and secure entry.

Important Reminder:

  1. Download your tickets before arriving to avoid delays or connectivity issues.

  2. Printed mobile tickets are not valid and will not be accepted at entry.

Obstructions

Aisleways and emergency exit pathways must remain clear. Akins Ford Arena security and ushers will actively ensure guests are not obstructing aisles by standing, sitting, dancing, etc. If you have a stroller or mobility device that does not fit in your seat, please notify the staff or usher, and we will assist with the proper storage location.

For your safety, you are not allowed to stand on chairs or other building structures or sit on or lean over balcony ledges.

Parking

Parking is available in The Classic Center parking deck with entrances off North Thomas Street and East Broad Street.  Limited reserved parking is available on an event-by-event basis.  Visit our Event Parking Page for more details. 

Photography and Recording Policy

Photography is often allowed for concerts and other events at the discretion of the show or artist. Some restrictions may apply to events allowing photography. Patrons may bring non-professional point-and-shoot cameras or similar equipment. Flash photography and video recording are rarely allowed. Video recording includes clips recorded on personal cameras, phones, or tablets. If you have concerns about a specific show, please refer to the Know Before You Go prior to attending the show. Photography, video, and audio recording are strictly prohibited at comedy events.

Prohibited Items

The following items are prohibited from being brought into Akins Ford Arena:  

Outside food and beverage, alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, backpacks, computer bags, camera bags, electronic devices larger than a cell phone, professional cameras, cameras with detachable lenses, GoPro, selfie sticks, and laser pointers; glitter, confetti, inflatable toys, or other projectiles. Toy replicas of weapons are also prohibited.  Firearms and weapons of any kind, including mace and pepper sprays, are not permitted in Akins Ford Arena. Akins Ford Arena is a completely smoke-free facility. Smoking, including the use of tobacco products, vape pens, and e-cigarettes, is prohibited both inside the venue and on the surrounding property. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a clean and healthy environment for all guests.

Akins Ford Arena reserves the right to refuse entry with any other items not listed here that are deemed inappropriate.

Umbrellas are permitted. Small umbrellas that fit in your lap may be taken to your seat. Full-sized umbrellas are required to be left at the Guest Services Desk located on the 100-level concourse.

Re-Entry

Re-entry will not be permitted, but exceptions are made for medical situations and emergencies. For additional questions or inquiries, please speak with the Guest Services Team at the Guest Services Desk located on the 100-level concourse during the event.

Security Screening

Each event guest is required to undergo a security screening. Metal detectors will be set at each entrance for those who are able to step through them. Alternative screenings will be available for expectant mothers, wheelchair-bound guests, and guests who have other medical conditions that restrict them from using metal detectors. All guests entering the venue must go through security. Guests who refuse will not be allowed to attend the event.

Sensory Room

The Sensory Room provides a space for guests who can become overstimulated by the intensity and variety of the stimuli during a live event. It is a place to relax, distract, and empower them to enjoy the remainder of the event. The Sensory Room is appropriate for all ages and abilities.

Service Animals

Service dogs with proper identification are welcome inside Akins Ford Arena and must remain in their harness or leash. Please let the Ticket Office know when you arrive that you have a service animal so we can best accommodate you. 

Smoke-Free Campus

Akins Ford Arena is committed to the health and safety of our guests and employees and is a smoke-free facility. Guests are not permitted to smoke inside or outside the building, and they are not allowed to exit and re-enter for the purpose of smoking. The policies outlined above apply to electronic cigarettes, smokeless cigarettes, and/or vapor cigarettes, as well as traditional cigarettes. Violators may be subject to removal from the facility and/or denied admittance into the facility.

Spills

Pleae find your nearest guest services representative or report to the Guest Services desk located behind section 120.

Strollers

The Guest Services Team will be happy to check your stroller at the Guest Services Desk upon entry to the event. Strollers will not be allowed in the seated areas and will be subject to a security check.

Ticket Purchase

Tickets may be purchased online at AkinsFordArena.com, by calling the Akins Ford Arena Ticket Office at 706.357.4444, or by visiting The Classic Center Theatre Ticket Office, located at 300 N Thomas Street, Athens, GA 30601, during open window hours.

Wheelchair Accessibility

Seats stationed within the arena bowl cannot accommodate a wheelchair. If you purchased the incorrect ticket type, please visit the Guest Services Desk to ask about open seats that will fit your needs.  

Wheelchair accessible seating is located at the bottom of sections 117 and 120, and at the top of sections 106, 110 113, 118, 120, 215 and 231.

An elevator is accessible from each level of the arena. Elevators are located inside Gates 1, 2 and 3.

Akins Ford Arena can accommodate up to one (1) companion seat in the accessible area within the same ticket purchase.

In Case of Emergency

In case of an emergency evacuation, please remain calm and follow the audio instructions under the guidance of our ushers, arena, security, & medical staff.  Elevators and escalators are not operable during an evacuation.   

We ask all guests to respect others around them and behave reasonably. Any guest who interferes with the enjoyment of another individual or whose behavior is determined to be distracting during an event will be required to modify their behavior or be subject to ejection from the event.
