Ice Skate Offerings

Toddler Skate
An exciting addition to this year's Athens On Ice, Toddle Skate is available to children 5 years of age and younger on select days.

Public Skate
Public Skate sessions are available throughout the season and offer the perfect opportunity for you to have fun on the ice!

Adult Skate
Calling all those 18+ years of age! This is your moment to have the ice rink to yourself during the last session on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.

Rules of the Ice
- By participating in any activity on the ice, you assume all risks and liability involved with this activity. Skate at your own risk! Please use caution when entering and exiting the ice.
- Participants must remain off the ice until the Zamboni finishes smoothing the rink.
- No one is allowed on the ice without skates. No chipping or gouging of the ice is permitted.
- Skaters are not allowed to carry any secondary items, including but not limited to cameras, cell phones, video recorders, handbags, etc., while on the ice.
- Carrying children while on the ice is not permitted.
- For safety reasons, we do not allow any spins, jumps, raised leg maneuvers, or spraying people with hockey stops during public skate sessions.
- Skaters must skate with the traffic flow of other skaters. No chain skating is permitted.
- Patrons may not sit or lean on the dasher boards.
- Get on your feet quickly when you fall.
- Hockey sticks and pucks are not allowed on the ice during public skate sessions.
- Food and/or drink are not allowed on the ice at any time.
What does my ticket include?
Your ticket purchase includes skate rental and one skating session.
Can I bring my own skates?
Yes, guests are welcome to bring their own ice skates, but will still need to purchase a ticket to enter the rink.
Where can I find Athens On Ice at The Classic Center?
This season, Athens On Ice will take place at 440 Foundry Pavilion, located on Foundry Street.
Can I purchase tickets at the door?
Guests can purchase tickets upon arrival; however, we strongly encourage securing tickets in advance to guarantee a spot, as skate sessions may sell out.
Who is eligible for Toddler Skate?
Toddler Skate is offered to children five years old or younger. All participating toddlers must be able to walk independently.
Do I need to provide skates for my toddler?
The Classic Center will have toddler-sized ice skates for children, but guests are welcome to bring their own pair.
Are group tickets available?
Of course! Group tickets for Athens On Ice can be purchased through the ticketing website. A minimum of 4 tickets is required to qualify for group rates.
What happens if a skate session is canceled due to weather?
Any ticket holders whose session is canceled due to inclement weather will receive a refund to their original payment method.
