Art in Action

Over the years, the Cultural Foundation has purchased nearly 50 pieces of artwork by Georgia-based artists, creating a permanent collection that brings culture and creativity to every corner. In 2018, the Foundation also commissioned local artist, Jill Biskin, to create two murals which grace the Theatre walls, honoring iconic Athens landmarks like the 40 Watt Club, City Hall, the Tree That Owns Itself, and more.

Visitors are also greeted by dynamic sculptures, including The Nest, a stunning installation suspended from the Atrium ceiling since 2014.

The Classic Galleries 

To further spotlight local and regional artists, the Foundation proudly supports The Classic Galleries—dedicated exhibition spaces that feature rotating pieces throughout the year. These galleries celebrate diverse artistic voices, from bold contemporary works to pieces inspired by Athens’ storied past.
